So. I finished the final episode of season 15 of Criminal Minds ('And In The End...') two days ago. You can imagine what has been going on in my mind since then.

As much as I love all of my special interests, it's unreal how that level of fervent enthusiasm persists even after something ends, enough that I already know this will definitely not be my only run of the show. And it's good! For instance; I enjoy still caring deeply about Warrior Cats and making my own content for it even though I refuse to engage with the actual novels anymore. I like that I'm getting this much enjoyment out of a show which is almost as old as I am. But it's time for the post-credits blues right now - which is a slightly more dignified way of saying I need to think wistfully about the good old days of last week when I still had new episodes to watch.

Overall, I think I am actually fairly pleased with how things turned out. A near miss with major character death, an appearance from Diana (which is always a treat :3), and JJ immolating a man alive as she blows up a plane. That absolutely rocked. I will make no complaints as to Garcias departure from the BAU, because I'm never going to watch Evolution and so I can imagine she just returns after a while. Lynch was a passable antagonist at best, but I did like the filicide angle! And while there were only ten episodes in that season, I think they had some nice moments, though I'm obligated to say that because Reids alternate universe cowboy fantasy still kills me. Cat Adams made a comeback which should have delighted me, and it did in part, but my feelings on that episode as a whole require a 'discussion' post that I'm too sleepy to write up tonight. All in all, I am emotionally fucked for the next month, but I'm looking forward to finally watching season one.
